MAHALO!

Words can not express our joy and gratitude to each and every person in our ukulele community. The September 16, 2023 fundraiser, Music & Meals for Maui, was beyond a success. We could not do this alone, and we are still in awe the concert donation goal was DOUBLE the initial goal. If you did not have the opportunity to tune in on Saturday, September 16, you can still watch the replay. Donations closed September 24.

Please take a moment to watch (or re-watch) this incredible event. There are so many heart felt songs and stories shared by people from around the world. It is inspiring seeing everyone come together in solidarity for such an amazing cause.

We were able to visit Maui Food Bank with our first check from our Ukulele Community! Thank you all for supporting our Online Benefit Concert and the Online Silent Auction hosted by The Ukulele Site. Please take a moment to watch the video of our visit, as we present the check to Rich Yust, the Executive Director of Maui Food Bank. The funds collected during the Livestream Concert and multiple Online Silent Auctions means that we have been able to raise over $145,000 for Maui Food Bank as of December 15, 2023. Auctions are on going, so we anticipate raising more during 2024 as well.

One of the Online Silent Auctions, hosted by The Ukulele Site, had one instrument built by Kanile’a Ukulele to benefit the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. From that auction, we were able to provide $40,000 to their Kāko’o Maui Fund.

We have also had the opportunity to give the Hawai’i Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund approximately $6,000, thanks to another online silent auction hosted by The Ukulele Site.

We have no words for the immense Aloha we feel from the community. It’s truly amazing, especially in a day in age when things can feel so hopeless. It takes a village and we are grateful to have you be a part of it.

This concert was FREE and recorded for future viewing.

Four Strings at a Time is the Fiscal Sponsor for the Online Silent Auction hosted by The Ukulele Site.
